Business Development Officer Full-time

The Business Development Officer will represent the company. Main role is to market the company’s business to prospective clients and will be responsible for direct sales and marketing of products to new and existing business clients.

Must have adequate knowledge of business flow and underwriting approval processes. Responsible for managing and growing portfolios and drive revenue growth and net income to meet or exceed company goals.

Responsibilities include advising clients on the introduction and efficient use of products and services, maximizes profitability on products or services and acts as liaison between sales, other departments and customers on products, services and technology.


Sales strategy

Identify and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospective clients and nurturing relationship with them.

Retain information on competitor’s current sales tactics, products and market strategies.

Compiles and analyzes market research data to develop portfolio of products and services focused on needs of target market.

Designs selling program to promote establishment to prospective clients and communicate best practices and road blocks to management.

Generates and screens leads following establishment policies and procedures to attain new business relationships and product sales.

Drive revenue growth and net income to meet or exceed goals.

Sales activity

Scheduling business development calls, managing the customer and prospect database and direct calling on customers and prospects.

Maintain an updated target list of prospective, qualified customers. Frequently assess progress in converting from prospective to current customers, and add new prospects accordingly.

Maintain a well-known presence within the local real estate network of customers by attending customer events.

Maintain an excellent level of communication, relationship management and follow-through with prospective and current customers.

Actively participate in sales meetings. Provide effective suggestions or comments for improvement when necessary.

Participate in personal and professional development to enhance skills and identified weaknesses.


Define and achieve personal sales and profit targets consistent with the office sales plan created by sales manager.

Measures progress of personal and professional goals.


Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred. Degrees in Business or Marketing or equivalent field.

Minimum of 2+ years of experience in title industry sales which includes experience in customer service/communication.

Broad knowledge of products and services.

Ability to travel and visit client/business locations.

Must have good and existing relationship with real estate agents, bankers and lenders

Effective selling skills that have produced a proven track record of success.

Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills as well as excellent customer service skills.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver persuasive oral and written reports and presentations

Ability to utilize basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel

Good understanding of credit underwriting, documentation, loan policy and regulations
